Visiting Salt Spring Island
Like Brigadoon, Salt Spring Island remains a timeless sort of place. However, unlike that particular Scottish hamlet, our Island doesn't come and go once every 100 years; it is in fact quite accesible most days of the year by ferry, water taxi or sea plane.
Located between Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia, Salt Spring has unusually temperate weather year round. The island has a whole host of bed and breakfasts for accomodations, as well as day spas to relax, and cultural events for the evening.
If you find yourself on the lsland having experienced our Farm Shop, the Salt Spring Studio Tour and Saturday Market, the local tourist information center has plenty more to suggest:

The climate, land, sea and sky of Salt Spring - like a really good cheese - can only be described so far by images and words, before you have to come and experience them for yourself.
